Local News

Hey,
It's Dyesha and this week I am coming to you with local news from the Bay Area. On Thursday September 4, 2008 two men were shot and killed. This event happened in San Francisco's Mission District. There were two men and a woman at 24th and Utah Sts. near SF General Hospital at about 9:45p.m. Two different men walked up with guns shooting all three people. One of the men were pronounced dead at the scene. The other man,Noel Espinoza, 19 , died at General Hospital. The woman that was with them survived. The solution that was discussed about the shootings on Mission St. was that there would be increased patrols. No arrests have been made in any of the killings.

Yet another incident! The City should think about working with the communities where crimes happen most and figure out solutions. It seems the assailants are not afraid of law enforcement. I often think of this question: If these same crimes happened in more affluent neighborhoods, would they get the same half-hearted response?
